Most parents talk to their kids about the birds and the bees. But Elizabeth Hurley had a more cinematic experience.
The actress opened up about filming a sex scene in the upcoming film “Strictly Confidential” during an interview with People magazine published Wednesday. The Lionsgate crime drama is written and directed by her son, 21-year-old Damian Hurley.
“People are making a lot of fuss,” Hurley told the magazine. “I think there's a lot of factors making it a particularly interesting scene for people.”
One of the factors Hurley cited was the creative involvement of her son Damian. But the “Austin Powers” star said filming the intimate scene wasn’t awkward for the mother-son pair.
“There actually isn’t any nudity,” said Hurley of the film's "daring" moments. “Nobody’s exploited at all. We all felt comfortable doing it.”

The film’s demanding schedule also left little room for either to linger on the erotic sequence.
“We were so rushed,” Damian reflected, with Hurley adding, “It was like, ‘Come on, let’s shoot it!’”

Following the film’s completion, Damian gave a sweet shoutout to Hurley for her contribution to the movie in a December 2022 Instagram post, calling Hurley his “beautiful and supreme mother.”
“Everyone involved deserves public declarations of adoration (all of which will come in due course) but right now I want to worship @ElizabethHurley1 who, during the making of my first ever short film back in 2010 (when I was 8 🤓) promised me she’d be in my first feature,” Damian wrote at the time. “True to her word, the minute this film was greenlit, Mama dropped everything and raced out to the beautiful Caribbean to help. Working together was a dream ♥️”
“Strictly Confidential,” which stars Hurley alongside Lauren McQueen and Genevieve Gaunt, is set to be released Friday.
